GMC Denali Road is a nice facing bicycle and since road bikes are pretty expensive only sold in bike shops, most individuals will accept that the price should be more overmuch than it actually did. A bike admirer asked if I sacrifice “over $1,000″ on it. Super gear wheels, I gained 38.5mph on a downhill with some gear left, and managed 32.4mph on straight ground with a tailwind (measured using handlebar GPS receiver). I can cruise overall in the 16-20mph range, race for the first 60 minutes.I have zero troubles with shape quality. The welds look safe; the bicycle looks great, the seat tube fitted tight. I was amazed how easily the frame construction matches my 6′0″ size.

My starting impression was that I found it tough to reach down to use the brake system. I did begin to use to that fast. My second impression was how easy it was to go quick on this bicycle. The 63cm, black and silver Denali, drives truly smooth. I will say that this bicycle is actually great for the cost. I am so motivated with the good quality for less than two hundred dollars.

The wheels and tires are quite narrow and 28 inches. Combine that with the aluminum frame, shimano derailleur and it performs very well. GMC Denali Road bike rides tight and looks really nice. I found a specialized bike that looked completely used up that the seller wanted the cost of three of the GMCs for. I decided that I could have three new bikes, back to back for the price of one bike that I wouldn’t trust to get me around the block. I bought the Denali.

The seat is sufficient for a route bicycle, and the Denali pedals easily, getting long rides a breeze. The kickstand is a welcomed addition (and removable for those who balk at kickstands). If you need a honest deal, get some tools/experience and are willing to tinker, get the Denali. It’s a hoot to ride! The gear mechanism shifting seems to be fine overall to me, and handily positioned on the handle bars. Because the bicycle is solid aluminum, it is fairly light and really long-lasting.

A matter for buyer consideration is that it is a bit heavier but stronger than popular (bianchi, trek, giant) commuter road bicycles since those tend to get a thinner aluminum shape while this one looks to pursue Ford Motor Company’s “built tough” motto. (Lighter frame materials would be titanium, carbon, and some sort of composite: carbon and titanium frame bikes will cost you up $1500 new, at least)

Another aspect individuals will easily omit is that the forks, unlike the frame, is made of steel so they’re heavier than regular but this is because while aluminum is lighter than steel, it is too stronger which would build for a bone jarring ride; the simply real result to this is to get 200-300$ entirely carbon.

My general conclusion is that you can’t find better price. I am very happy with the bicycle GMC Denali. The bike is lightweight, has really fabulous gearing, and can be real fast. It goes better than it stops. Replacements several key component parts will improve the bicycle significantly. It is not the great one but when you factor in the price, it is a wonderful deal.
